DAVID A. KOENIGSBERG

DAVID KOENIGSBERG is a Partner of Menz Bonner & Komar. He has been
litigating cases both at the trial and appellate levels in the federal
and state courts for over twenty-five years. Mr. Koenigsberg has represented
corporate and government clients in complex legal matters concerning
contract disputes, health care, False Claims Act, intellectual property,
legal and medical malpractice, personal injury, tax and bankruptcy
cases.
Mr. Koenigsberg was an Assistant United States Attorney for the
Southern District of New York, where he was Senior Litigation Counsel
and headed the Affirmative Civil Enforcement Unit. As an Assistant
United States Attorney, Mr. Koenigsberg helped the government recover
over $250 million. Mr. Koenigsberg received the Department of Justice's
Attorney General's Award for Distinguished Service and the Director's
Award for Superior Performance as an Assistant United States Attorney,
and received awards from the Inspector General for the Department of
Health and Human Services.
Mr. Koenigsberg earned his Bachelor of Arts degree cum laude from Williams
College in 1978, and received his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law
in 1982, where he was an editor of the Fordham Urban Law Journal. Mr.
Koenigsberg served as a law clerk for the Honorable Peter K. Leisure, United
States District Judge for the Southern District of New York. Following his
clerkship, Mr. Koenigsberg became associated with the law firm of Dewey
Ballantine where he worked in the litigation department.
Mr. Koenigsberg is
admitted to all courts in the State of New York, the Southern, Eastern, and
Northern Districts of New York, the United States Court of Appeals for the
Second Circuit and the United States Supreme Court. Mr. Koenigsberg has also
been appointed to serve as a court appointed mediator for the United States
District Court for the Southern District of New York.
